Vegas Commando Request For Information (RFI)
June 6, 2002
If you've come here searching for more information about the RFI I've e-mailed out to select ISPs, there's not much to be found.
It's very simple: A number of customers I do consulting for have asked me to gather up information on collocation/data center space with an eye to purchase (contract) anywhere up to 2 racks of space, starting out small (say a couple of RU/half-rack) and eventually filling both racks, depending (hey, you know how this goes.)
Your best bet for further business is to--
A) Fill out and return the RFI as soon as possible.
B) Don't nag me with sales droid phone calls; e-mail me.
C) Answer the RFI as honestly and as completely as possible, because if there's some smoke and mirrors provided ("We have a Terabyte of connectivity"), it will be held against you.
D) "Don't know/not sure" is an acceptable answer.
As more questions come in, stay tuned to this space for a FAQ based upon inquiries.
Sincerely,
Doug Mohney
